Virgie Ingram

Virgie Blanche Whitt Ingram, 95, of Prosperity, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Springfield Place in Newberry, SC.

Born on November 9, 1918 in Norland, VA, she was a daughter of the late Fitzhugh Lee and Martha Alice Holifield Whitt.

Mrs. Ingram is survived by daughters, Loretta Triplett of Helenwood, TN, Thelma (Ed) Sexton of Prosperity, SC and Kathy (Hugh) Daugherty of Pomaria, SC; grandchildren, Robert Triplett, Janet Keeton, Teresa (Steve) Young, Richard Triplett, Corbin (Karen) Sexton, Thomas (Jacqueline) Sexton, Carla Moore and Jennifer (Nathaniel) Birochak and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Carl William Ingram, a son-in-law, Herbert Clark Triplett, grandson, Thomas Carl Triplett, sister, Eura Whitt Swindall and a brother, George Washington Whitt, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville, TN. Burial will follow in Reed Cemetery in Helenwood, TN. The family will receive friends Saturday at the funeral home from 12 Noon until the hour of service.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.

The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to the staff of Springfield Place Unit 4 and the Folk Unit at J.F Hawkins Nursing Home.
