Vivian Buchanan

Vivian Louise Melton Buchanan, 83, of Prosperity, widow of Thomas Buchanan, died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on April 8, 1930, in Sylva, NC, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Beulah Melton.

She is survived by sons, Willie (Robin) Buchanan of Prosperity, Virgil (Kathy) Buchanan and Ernest Buchanan both of Kinards; five grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and a number of brothers and sisters. Mrs. Buchanan was predeceased by a son, Eddy Buchanan.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Little River Dominick Presbyterian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Robert McCollum.
