W. Caroll Carter

W. Caroll Carter passed away peacefully at his home April 13, 2013. Born in Moody Township, Marion County, SC on September 13. 1935, he was the son of the late Burney and Ruby Simmons Carter.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Gentry Carter; a sister, Judy Carter Prince (Leon) and a large extended family.

Mr. Carter attended the University of South Carolina and was an avid Gamecock fan. He worked in the printing industry in Columbia, SC for more than 40 years.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at 3:00 pm at Macedonia Lutheran Church, 49 Macedonia Church Road, Prosperity, SC 29127. The family will receive visitors in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Family Life Center, Macedonia Lutheran Church or a charity of one's choice.
