W. Derrill Wicker

Walter Derrill Wicker, 76, of Little Mountain, died Saturday, February 27, 2016, at his residence.

Born on October 16, 1939, in Little Mountain, he was a son of the late Walter Eugene and Kathryn Bowers Wicker. He served in the S.C. National Guard, was a carpenter and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Mr. Wicker is survived by his wife, Martha Jo Shealy Wicker; a son, Jason (Melissa) Wicker of Chapin; a daughter, Melissa (Craig) Harmon of Chapin and grandchildren, Linda Harmon, Madelyn Wicker and Brooke Wicker.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at St. Paul Lutheran Church by the Rev. Brent Nichols. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Little Mountain Rescue Squad, PO Box 8, Little Mountain, SC 29075 or to St. Paul Lutheran Church Building Fund, 2496 SC Highway 773, Pomaria, SC 29126.
