Willie Mae Amick Stockman, 96, of Prosperity widow of James E. Stockman died Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at White Oak Manor.
Born on December 7, 1922 in Lexington County, she was a daughter of the late Jonas W. and Bertha Haltiwanger Amick. She was retired from the Springs Company and was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Chapin.
Mrs. Stockman is survived by sons, Harroll Stockman, Carroll (Lorraine) Stockman both of Little Mountain and Timothy (Mona) Stockman of Prosperity; a daughter, Pamela S. Jenkins of Prosperity; a brother, James (Martha) Amick of Columbia; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by siblings,Alma Pace, Doris Bush, June Ross, Heyward Amick and Larry Amick and a grandson and two great-granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, January 20, 2019 at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. David Tholstrup. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the St. Peter Lutheran Church Building Fund, 900 Dreher Island Road, Chapin, SC 29036.
Active pallbearers will be Jim Davis, Kenny Stockman, Curtis Stockman, Alan Stockman, Ray Boland, Jr. and Billy Amick.
