William “Will” Joiner Bedenbaugh, 19, of Prosperity, died Sunday, December 12, 2010.
Born on April 4, 1991, in Columbia, he was a son of Charles W. and Sherry Dill Bedenbaugh. Will was a 2009 graduate of Mid Carolina High School where he played baseball and was named All State and All Region as a senior. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church where he was a former member of the church youth group. He was presently a student at Charleston Southern University where he was a red-shirt freshman on the baseball team. Will was living his life long dream of being a college baseball player. He had an immense love for his family and friends. His personality was competitive yet compassionate. Will had a remarkable sense of humor and a smile that was contagious to those around him.
Surviving are his parents, Charles and Sherry Bedenbaugh; his twin brother, Alex Bedenbaugh of Prosperity; maternal grandparents, Billy and Pauline Dill of Prosperity; paternal grandparents, Earle and Jenny Bedenbaugh of Prosperity; aunts, Jean Bedenbaugh of Prosperity, Jan (Larry) Blackwell of Lancaster, Lisa (John) Sulka of Bluffton, Debra (Kenny) Bowen of Shelby, NC, and Renee Parker of Prosperity; cousins, Heather Blackwell, Brannon Sulka, Haley Sulka, Michael Sulka, Brantley Parker, Corie Franklin, Dean Bowen, and Billy Bowen. Will was predeceased by cousins, Matt Blackwell and Ricky Bowen.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at Zion United Methodist Church by the Rev. Lowry Drennen and Rev. Eric Fink. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
