William "Doc" White

William Clifford “Doc” White, 95, of Newberry, widower of Sarah Kathryn Davenport White, died Thursday, July 16, 2015, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on June 28, 1920, in Saluda, he was a son of the late William Michael and Ellen Berry White. He was retired from Kendall Company – Oakland Plant after 45 years of service. Mr. White was a member of Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church.

He is survived by sons, Clifford White and Timothy William White both of Newberry.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, July 20, 2015, at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jimmy Counts. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Monday at the church from 10:00 am – 10:45 am. Memorials may be made to the Newberry County Council on Aging, 1300 Hunt Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
