The race with life for Willie Lee “Billy” Ringer II, 69, of Newberry ended on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Langston Place in Clinton.
Born on October 5, 1947, in Newberry, he was the only child of the late Willie Lee and Mary Cook Ringer. Mr. Ringer was the retired owner of Ringer Enterprises and had worked for a number of years as an electrician at the V.C. Summer Nuclear Plant. He was a member of the Newberry Shrine Club, an avid NASCAR Fan and enjoyed racing Legends and Arca Cars. Billy was one of a kind who was a witty and humorous individual that enjoyed life to the fullest. His sense of humor was infectious.
He is survived by cousins reared in the home with him, Connie Rayfield, Marcia Ruff and Doug Adams. Mr. Ringer is also survived by other cousins Wendell Adams, Danny Cook, William Cook, Robert Adams, Dianne Hall and Shirley Mitchell and his forever girlfriend, Denise S. Porter.
Graveside services with Masonic Rites will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Rosemont Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, 950 W. Farris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
