Willie Suber

Willie Dunn Suber, Sr., 86, of Newberry, widower of Carrie Lee Neal Suber, died Friday, October 8, 2010, at his residence.

Born on August 9, 1924, in Newberry, he was a son of the late George W. and Maude Reighley Suber. Mr. Suber was retired from Kendall Company and was a World War II Army veteran having served in the 3 ^rd Armored Division and at the Battle of the Bulge.

Surviving are a son, Willie Dunn “Billy” Suber and his wife, Joyce of Newberry; grandchildren, Glenn (Laurie) Suber and Kevin Suber; great-grandchildren, Justin, Amber, Kailey and Colby Suber; a cousin, Cotton Reighley, special friend, Mike Long and H.W. Cleland who was like a brother. Predeceased by a brother, George Suber, Jr. and Charles Cleland who was like a brother.

Graveside services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2010, at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Hugh Bickley. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 1300 Hunt Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
