Winifred Davenport

Winifred Graham Richardson Davenport, 89, of Prosperity died Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on October 6, 1927 in Newberry, Mrs. Davenport was a daughter of the late Clarence O. and Cummings Lever Graham. Mrs. Davenport was twice married, first to the late Olin Cyril Richardson and secondly to the late Joe Edward Davenport. Mrs. Davenport retired from Allied Chemical and then later worked at Belk in Newberry. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

She is survived by two sons, Kenny Richardson of Prosperity and Ronnie Richardson and his wife Vickie of Pomaria; a granddaughter, Brandy Bocelli of Mt. Pleasant; a grandson, Brent O. Richardson of North Charleston; and a great-grandson, Blake Bocelli. She was predeceased by brothers, Maxie Graham and George Graham; and by a sister, Joyce Vaughn.

Memorial services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Sunday, September 3, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church by the Rev. Brent Nichols. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2496 SC Highway 773, Pomaria, SC 29126.
