Winnie Mabel Mashburn Rice, 91, of Newberry, widow of Frank R. Rice, died Sunday, November 24, 2013, at her residence.

Born on April 18, 1922, in Blue Ridge, GA, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Alice Crumby Mashburn. She was retired from Whitten Center and was the oldest member of Glory Tabernacle.

Mrs. Rice is survived by sons, Michael David Rice and Benny Glyn Rice; daughters, Frankie Ruth (Miller) Jacobs, Carolyn Wynn and Rebecca June (Gary) Sindelar; a brother, Tony (Bonnie) Mashburn; sisters, Nina M. Soulsby and Marie Loudermilk; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at Glory Tabernacle. A private family burial will be held in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday at the church from 1:30 – 2:45 pm. Memorials may be made to Glory Tabernacle Building Fund, PO Box 778, Newberry, SC 29108.
